Designed to be enjoyed, at anchor and at sea

The First 53 brings together two leading figures in contemporary yacht design.

Lorenzo Argento created both the exterior styling and interior layout. His work gives the yacht a distinctive silhouette: a straight, powerful bow, a five-metre beam carried well aft and a low coach roof create an elegant profile that already suggests speed when the yacht is at anchor.

Inside, the same balance of sophistication and purpose continues.

Argento divided the saloon into two distinct spaces: a dining area to one side and a true lounge opposite, with an L-shaped sofa and coffee table.
White lacquered bulkheads, moulded woodwork and teak flooring bring light and contemporary elegance, while handrails, large portholes and carefully integrated sailing features preserve the yacht's unmistakably nautical character.

The result is an interior designed for the quieter moments of yachting, a place to relax after a fast passage, entertain at anchor or simply enjoy being on board.
Because on the First 53, performance and comfort are not opposing ideas. They are two sides of the same experience.

A hull designed to come alive under sail

The First 53 reveals another side of her personality when the sails go up.

Her hull was designed by Roberto Biscontini, drawing on decades of high-level racing experience, including the America's Cup. The objective was not performance for its own sake, but a yacht that feels immediately responsive and rewarding to sail.

The relationship between the centre of buoyancy and the sail plan was carefully optimised to give the First 53 balance, responsiveness and direct feedback at the helm.

As Biscontini said at the launch of the yacht:

"I have always focused on performance, both for the boats I sail and those that I build. The First Yacht 53 is very much like me!"

A straight bow, twin rudders and carefully developed appendages contribute to a yacht that accelerates easily and remains precise at the helm. The standard 2.50-metre draught can be increased to 3.02 metres with the performance keel and lead bulb, while a carbon rig is available for owners looking for even greater responsiveness.
Every technical choice serves the same purpose: making a large yacht feel lively, balanced and rewarding to sail.

Performance you can feel

Numbers tell part of the story. The helm tells the rest.

During a sea trial off the coast of Catalonia, the team from YACHT magazine sailed the First 53 Performance in a wide range of conditions.
In just five knots of wind, the yacht was already moving under Code Zero. Upwind, she maintained between 8 and 8.5 knots while remaining light enough on the helm to steer with two fingers. Downwind, surfing the swell, speeds reached 13.5 knots.

The magazine summed up the experience simply: "A boat that creates a sensation!"

That sensation is central to the First 53.
Her performance is not intended only for experienced racing crews chasing numbers. A generous sail area, balanced hull form and responsive steering allow the yacht to deliver speed while remaining manageable, including with a reduced crew.

The First 53 is equally capable of slowing the pace.

Three double cabins, two or three bathrooms depending on the layout, a 2.40-metre tender garage and a generous forward owner's cabin make her a comfortable yacht for extended cruising and time at anchor.

But the character of the First 53 lies in how naturally she moves between these different moments.

One morning can begin quietly in a sheltered bay. A few hours later, the sails are drawing, the yacht is accelerating and the crew is enjoying the simple pleasure of covering miles under sail. The next day might bring a regatta start and the satisfaction of pushing the boat harder.
