START AND FINISH IN ST NAZAIRE

The department of Loire-Atlantique is the leading sponsor of the Solitaire Le Figaro. Questioned about the sponsorship, Philippe Grosvalet, its president, said:

"The Solitaire du Figaro is a maker of legends. We will now see them emerge and take shape in Loire-Atlantique. A leading maritime region, Loire-Atlantique has an ideal location on the Atlantic shoreline and an international outlook. There is a real synergy and sense of ambition to develop maritime and nautical projects in the region and, together with our partners, we are happy to give them our backing."

Registrations will soon be open to all the Figaro racers wishing to take part in this legendary race.  Last year, Armel Le Cleac'h joined the exclusive club of the three-time winners of the Solitaire Le Figaro single-handed race.
