29 May – 29 June 2024

New York Vendée

With only a few months to go before the Vendée Globe, the skippers will compete in a single-handed transatlantic race one last time.

A gripping race with thrills guaranteed!

In previous editions of the Vendée Globe this remarkable race has brought Vendée to the fore, with a course crossing the oceans and rounding the legendary capes of Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn.

For this tenth anniversary, the iconic event has been reinvented with the New York - Vendée, promising a programme in a class of its own, with an exciting first leg along the east coast of the United States.

31 skippers are preparing to race each other, with a start in New York planned for 29 May with Les Sables-d'Olonne as their destination.

Alain Leboeuf, President of the Vendée Globe, the New York Vendée - Les Sables-d'Olonne and of the Vendée Département, stresses:

This race aligns perfectly with our round the world, and aims to improve the international appeal of our events. With nearly half the skippers competing hailing from abroad, it is safe to say that this goal has been achieved.
