Could you please introduce yourself ?
I am Nick Gorton, from the United Kingdom.
How did you get started with sailing ?
I got into sailing through a race crew training program organized by the Brighton Marina Yacht Club for the local community, where I started out as a Mastman on a 40-foot racing yacht
What are your most memorable sailing experiences on board ?
For me, the most memorable moment isn't a single trip: it’s always that deep sense of joy when you switch off the engine and realize you’re moving only with the wind.
Who do you usually sail with ?
I usually sail solo, but sometimes I enjoy the sea with my wife Pip.
Is there a destination or a moment at sea that left a lasting impression on you ?
Navigating The Swinge, off Alderney: that was definitely an unforgettable experience.
Why did you choose a BENETEAU sailing yacht ?
I chose a BENETEAU sailing yacht because the worldwide network makes it easy to get service pretty much anywhere !
Why this particular model ?
I chose the Oceanis 37.1 because it’s small enough to sail solo, yet big enough to provide all the comfort we need.
What are your future sailing plans ?
I planned to sail to the West Coast of France !
What would you say to someone considering joining the BENETEAU community ?
I can’t recommend it enough: just go for it !
In your opinion, what are the best services offered by BENETEAU ?
On my opinion, it's undoubtedly the dealer network !
