Stéphane Mifsud : new challenge on his Oceanis 55.1
In addition to holding the static apnea world record of 11’35”, since 2009, Stéphane Mifsud has always been a great explorer of the deep ocean. As one with the sea from an early age, he has watched how the sea beds have been damaged over the years and the complete change in the oceans’ ecological balance with great sadness.
To get 2019 off to a good start, Stéphane MIFSUD has launched another challenge on his new Oceanis 55.1 : crossing the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean single-handed. This will involve 60 days of adventure and exploration solo, with the goal of providing a ton of diving equipment to the inhabitants of the West Indies and increasing the number of clean-up and environmental awareness campaigns.
