1 Day to the Vendée Globe

The last preparations are underway on the Sables d’Olonne pontoons.

The start on Sunday 8 November will be a very unusual one for the skippers competing in the 9th Vendée Globe. Due to COVID-19, there will be no supporters as they sail along the channel, and no one on the quays or piers.

But for the 5th time running, BENETEAU will be providing the Vendée Globe organizers with a fleet of motorboats on which the journalists and photographs will embark. Our experienced drivers will take them as close as possible to the IMOCAs so that you can experience the thrill of the start. This will be broadcast on vendeeglobe.org and on several TV channels.

We would like to wish lots of luck to the 6 women and 27 men about to set sail on a non-stop round the world unassisted.

See you on Sunday at 13:02!
