Our winner takes official possession of the First 210 Voile Mag
A special day in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie
Thursday 22 March 2018. The date was set a few weeks ago. It was the big day for the winner of the #BeTheFirst draw, which took place during the Nautic boat show in Paris, last December, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the First range. Lionel, the happy winner, is a sailor and has already owned two First yachts in the past. A young pensioner, he will have plenty of time to enjoy his new boat and share some wonderful sailing with his close friends.
Handover of the keys at BENETEAU’s headquarters
Luca Brancaleon, the Managing Director of Beneteau, handed over the keys of the First 210 Voile Magazine to its new owner at the premises in Givrand. Lionel came in the company of his sailing friends It was also an opportunity for our winner to meet the editor of Voile Magazine, François-Xavier de Crécy. In 2015, alongside Beneteau, Voile Magazine embarked on the endeavour of restoring this small First, abandoned somewhere in Charente Maritime. The wheel will have turned full circle, since the First will cast off from the Port des “Minimes” in La Rochelle in a few weeks!

Sea trip on 22 March 2018
Similar to the previous days, there was no sun, but the trip was a success with enough wind to head out to sea off Saint Gilles Croix de Vie!
