Beneteau & the China Cup
Last week, 24 First 40.7s, together with other 11 Beneteau Owner Boats battled it out on the waves at Daya Bay, Shenzhen, as part of China’s largest and most influential sailing contest – the 11th edition of the China Cup International Regatta. Around 1,500 sailors from almost 40 regions and nations participated in the various racing divisions of this year’s event. Entering the 11th year of its remarkable partnership with the China Cup, Beneteau is once again proving itself to be a pioneer in heavyweight sailing events across the Asia Pacific Region. Beneteau’s regional partner, Simpson Marine has also been actively contributing to the event.
Beneteau Announces Two China Cup Limited Edition Boats
As part of its cooperation with the China Cup, Beneteau has recently announced two exclusive models. The Oceanis 51.1 China Cup Limited Edition and the Oceanis 41.1 China Cup Limited Edition are additions to the First 40.7 – the model that makes up the fleet for the regatta’s most competitive One Design Class.
Both new models have been specially designed for the China Cup. The Oceanis 51.1 is versatile, safe, and comfortable, making it ideal for offshore races. The Oceanis 41.1 will be optimal for onshore races during the China Cup.

At the China Cup’s Sailing Spirit Ceremony, the Oceanis Yacht 62 was honored as the most popular cruiser of the year. Since her official launch in Cannes last year, the model has enjoyed a positive reception in the global yachting community, and has won several major accolades within the industry.
A celebratory Beneteau Night cocktail party was held for Beneteau owners, crew, and partners during the China Cup. This unique occasion is fast becoming a tradition for sailing enthusiasts, with more and more guests attending each year.
