RALLYE DES ILES DU SOLEIL 2018
Experience a unique challenge
DO YOU DREAM OF AN ATLANTIC CROSSING?
For this 2nd Rallye des Iles du Soleil, “Grand Pavois Organisation”
has lined up an all-new course to make this a unique challenge.
The start is to be on Saturday 10 November 2018 :
La Palma (Canaries) → Cape-Verde Islands → Marie-Galante (Guadeloupe)
CANARIES TO CAPE VERDE
A first leg of 970 nautical miles between La Palma (Canaries) and the Cape Verde
archipelago will allow crews to get their sea legs and to explore Sao Vicente. The island has
a rich cultural heritage with a typical mix of Portuguese- and British-influenced architecture.
The fleet will moor in Porto Grande Bay (Mindelo), where it will be able to stock up
on fresh local produce.

FINISH IN GUADELOUPE
After a second leg of 2130 nautical miles, the boats will drop anchor at
Marie-Galante, which will host the Rallye des Iles du Soleil for the second year running. This truly
unspoilt 158-km² island is also referred to locally as the “Grande Galette” (big round biscuit), due to its
circular shape and the lands dotted with sugar-cane fields.
HOW CAN DO YOU TAKE PART?
This transatlantic rally is open to all monohull and multihull sailing yachts measuring
at least 10 metres (exception requests possible). The minimum number of sailors
is 2 (Children are allowed from the age of 5).
During the last Rallye des Iles du Solei, we were delighted to support the Belgium crew
below, owner of an Oceanis 45.
