THE JOURNEY GOES ON FOR OUR ADVENTURERS
A trip to the Canary Islands
A TRIP TO THE CANARY ISLANDS
It's now been five months since Sarah, Aurélien, and little Naël left Morbihan.
After their previous stop, Morocco, they can now be found in the Canary Islands.
First, the family decided to drop anchor at Graciosa Island, before landing in south Lanzarote, a Spanish island with a lunar landscape. During the course of these few weeks with the family, we’ve discovered dreamlike panoramas, such as these beautiful volcanic vineyards.
The adventurers will be continuing onward to Tenerife in a few days, a prime spot for whale watching, before heading to the Cape Verde archipelago, which is an ideal place for water sports.
The couple continue to share their best boardsports moments with us, take this windsurfing session on Glass Beach in Fuerteventura, for example.
As for Sarah, she’s continuing her traditional Sup Yoga sessions.
Like a fish in water
In Lanzarote, the sportswoman took the opportunity to participate in a hull fairing session on the Maloya, an Oceanis 411 Clipper, a Bénéteau sailboat launched in 1995. Whilst preparing for their trip, the comfort, performance, and safety of this sailboat were essential criteria for the couple and their now 10-month old baby.
A LOVELY SURPRISE!
Live from their Facebook page, the couple announced that they would be crossing the Atlantic at the end of the year in order to reach Brazil!
This 12-day crossing will require a lot of work and major prior preparation (cleaning, replacing the chain, etc.). Their plan is to drop anchor at Fernando do Noronha for the new year and then head up the coast of the Amazon rainforest and past French Guiana in order to reach the Caribbean Islands.
