2023 US Women's Match Racing Championship

The U.S. Women’s Match Racing Championship is a match race regatta for up to 10 all-female teams sailed on keelboats. The format includes a series of Qualifying Round Robin(s), Semi-Finals and a Finals Series.

Founded in 1974, the U.S. Women’s Open Championship served the interest of female sailors who wished to compete against other women at the national level in double and singlehanded boats. After a motion passed in 2000 to change the event from fleet racing to match racing, the first official U.S. Women’s Match Racing Championship was held at Southern Yacht Club, November 11 – 14, 2002.

This year's event will take place between August 17th and the 20th at the Annapolis Yacht Club in Maryland and will be sponsored by BENETEAU.

Registration and pre-race preparations begin on Thursday, August 17th, with races beginning on the 18th. Each racing day will conclude with a daily debrief, with a final Prize Giving event 30 minutes after the last boat returns on Sunday, August 20th.
