STRENGTH OF DESIGN

The design of a BENETEAU boat is the ingredient that marks our creativity. It is by associating the genius of a well-known naval architect, the know-how of the BENETEAU design office and the talent of a daring designer, that boats are created opening the road to tomorrow's yachting.

/ With Philippe Starck, it was the first time in the world of yachting that a boatyard called on a designer outside sailing circles. The resulting creation was the First S.

/ In 1987, the First 35S5 was an audacious boat. It was closely followed by the First32S5. These were revolutionary creations which brought sailing tradition and the most modern design concepts together.

/ In 1989, Bénéteau asked the talented Pininfarina to design the interior fittings of the First 45F5.

/ The First 53F5: an Italian style design signed by Pininfarina.

/ Bénéteau launched a new generation of Océanis in 2006. The design was entrusted to Nauta Design Yacht, a well-known Italian design office, the reference in the super yacht world.

/ The Océanis 50 was the first yacht of the new Océanis generation. The style set by Nauta, brought coherence, as well as clarity of lines and functionalities.

/ BENETEAU created an event by launching the new FIRST 50. Veerle Battiau worked with designer, Philippe Briand, on this audacious project.

/ Veerle Battiau gave the First 50 very modern and refined traits and this working on the basis of contemporary materials, such as light-coloured wood and dark flooring, light furnishings with soft and yet stressed lines, noble and warm materials (stainless steel and leather). At the same as being particularly beautiful, this yacht exudes simplicity: rationality of function is at the core of the design.
