The revolutionary DOCK & GO

Manoeuvring your BENETEAU yacht in harbour becomes child’s play

Gone is the stress of manoeuvring in harbour. BENETEAU is launching DOCK & GO, an exclusive innovation to bring your boat alongside with complete peace of mind.

    BENETEAU re- invents boat handling

By allowing yachtsmen to have access to the most complicated harbour berths, BENETEAU is removing a huge burden from sailors’ enjoyment of being on the water and lifting the apprehension felt about manoeuvring. A child would be able to bring an Oceanis 50 alongside her berth, in complete confidence.

An intuitive joystick makes berthing precise, safe and fun

Thanks to its joystick, which synchronises a pivoting saildrive base and bowthruster, DOCK & GO allows you to manoeuvre a large sailing yacht calmly, whatever the wind and tide or port layout.

Fun and very intuitive, the system makes berthing the boat in a restricted space easy and gives a precision of movement without comparison.

Safety and thrust for error-free handling

Uniting safety and thrust, DOCK & GO combines the assistance of the engine and bowthruster, giving the same thrust both astern and ahead. Compatible with feathering or folding propellers, DOCK & GO optimises a yacht’s thrust for all-round manoeuvrability.

Discover the video

Available from September 2010, DOCK & GO will be offered on models fitted with Yanmar 75HP SD engines. The DOCK & GO option will therefore fit the Sense (50’), Oceanis 46 and Oceanis 50.

Sucessul Easter weekend for the Firsts !

Spi-Ouest France : Victory was secured by the First 40 Courrier Zen skippered by Gery Trentesaux after 7 legs sailed in wind conditions ranging from 10 to 30 knots.

> Spi Ouest France
Victory was secured by the First 40 Courrier Zen skippered by Gery Trentesaux after 7 legs sailed in wind conditions ranging from 10 to 30 knots.

Courrier Zen’s victory was assured from the last leg, and the boat enjoyed a podium position 5 times during the course of this magnificent Spi Ouest.

Cornouaille Nautique, the First 40 from Bénodet, finished in 5th place, after dominating the 3 races held on the first day.

It should be noted that no less than 5 First 40s took part in this Spi Ouest.

The owners of First 31.7s, now grouped together as an association, took part in a very lively contest held over 8 completed legs, with M. Devanneaux on Point 7-2 coming in victorious.

By assembling a flotilla of 21 F 31.7s, the owners’ association was able to demonstrate the powerful dynamic of this new class now recognised by the FFV (French Sailing Association).

> RORC Easter Series
M. and Mme Neve on their brand new First 35 No Chance took second place in the IRC 3 class after 7 legs sailed over the 3 days.
No Chance enjoyed 6 podium positions, with 3 first places in the course of the final day.

> Marseilles International Sailing Week
The First 35 Tahina only managed to come in 4th place overall, despite achieving 3 victories in the 7 legs sailed under the big swell conditions caused by the Mistral.
But it shouldn’t be forgotten that only 15 days ago M. Pierre Alain Tocci on Tahina finished 2nd in the Massilia Cup.

A big round of applause for all those owners who flew the BENETEAU First flag so well.
